Fire on the bus! Passengers screaming for survival

BY A STAFF REPORTER: A fire broke out in a private bus carrying 25 passengers at K. Vitragunta village in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday morning. The bus was on its way from Hyderabad to Pondicherry on NH-16 when it caught fire due to a mechanical fault.

Officials said the driver immediately alerted passengers and got out safely. However, the passengers' luggage was burnt in the fire. Fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. However, there were no casualties. The incident is under investigation.
