BY A STAFF REPORTER: Shortly after being summoned, AAP MLA Durgesh Pathak reached the Enforcement Directorate office in New Delhi on April 8, Monday.
The ED summoned Durgesh Pathak for a round of questioning in the Delhi excise policy case. Moreover, Durgesh Pathak was the state election-in charge during Goa Assembly Polls in 2019. AAP's Goa Election Campaign has been a key point in the Delhi liquor policy scam since Arvind Kejriwal's arrest as the alleged scam proceedings were reportedly utilized in the campaign. As per sources, the ED also questioned Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s personal assistant Bibhav Kumar in the same case earlier today.
AAP MP Sanjay Singh walked out of the Tihar jail on Wednesday as the Supreme Court on Tuesday granted him bail as the ED failed to recover money pertinent to the scam. Moreover, he was arrested on October 4, 2023. However, the bail is not precedent.
The authorities shifted Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to Tihar Jail and lodged him in jail number two following the orders of Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Monday. Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court granted Judicial custody of 15 days to Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Liquorgate on April 1, Monday. Previously, Kejriwal was under the Enforcement Directorate's custody in the Delhi excise policy case since his arrest.
The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal from his residence in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. He was arrested following search operations and Interrogations conducted by the ED at his residence on March 21, Thursday.
