By A Staff Reporter: Is Arjun Singh likely to join BJP and stand for election from Barrackpore? According to sources close to the Barrackpore strongman, Singh has “more or less decided”. Speaking exclusively to ANM News, Singh mentioned that he felt insulted.

“They invited me to switch over and insulted me. I have no faith and confidence in any of their offers,” he said. Asked if he would join the BJP, Singh replied in affirmative. TMC has nominated minister Partha Bhoumick as the candidate from Barrackpore replacing Singh who had won on a BJP ticket and switched over to TMC later.

If Singh throws his hat into the ring, Barrackpore will witness a close fight between two former friends. Incidentally Arjun Singh had won by a very low margin in the last polls and TMC is banking on hope that ground situation has changed the strongman does not hold complete sway.
