BY A STAFF REPORTER: Amid the Chandigarh mayoral polls controversy row, the members of the Youth Congress on Wednesday staged a protest against the recent mayoral polls that took place yesterday.

Prominent AAP and Congress leaders have alleged that BJP won the elections through malpractices. Subsequently, a clash broke out between the party members right after the results were announced. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal termed it a 'Black day' and accused the BJP of assassinating democracy.

The Chandigarh Mayor Election results were announced on Tuesday where BJP's Manoj Sonkar with 15 votes defeated AAP's Kuldeep Kumar, who secured 12 votes.
