BJP's Kuljeet Singh Sandhu secured 19 votes while Congress and AAP alliance secured 16 votes. However, one vote was declared invalid. Furthermore, the results of the Deputy Mayor Post for the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation are yet to be announced.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, BJP won the Chandigarh Senior Deputy Mayor elections with 19 votes on 4th March, Monday.

Moreover, BJP's Kuljeet Singh Sandhu secured 19 votes while Congress and AAP alliance secured 16 votes. However, one vote was declared invalid.

Furthermore, the results of the Deputy Mayor Post for the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation are yet to be announced. The elections for both posts started at around 10 am in the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation office.

After the Supreme Court's verdict, AAP's Kuldeep Kumar was declared the validly elected Chandigarh Mayor on February 20 after the defaced ballot paper controversy. The SC quashed previous poll results which declared BJP's Manoj Sonkar as the winner.
