Jairam Thakur Claims Congress Has Been Defeated In Rajya Sabha Polls

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Himachal Pradesh LoP Jairam Thakur has claimed that Congress has been defeated by BJP in Rajya Sabha Polls in Himachal Pradesh on 27th February, Tuesday. 

While congratulating BJP candidate and former Congress MLA Harsh Mahajan, Jairam Thakur claimed that Congress has lost despite the majority.

Moreover, HP Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu accused CRPF and Haryana Police of taking away five to six Congress MLAs and urged Himachal BJP leaders to have patience and not to threaten polling officers. 

Rajya Sabha elections were held in Uttarakhand, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh. In Karnataka, Congress won three seats while BJP secured one seat.
