Magnitude 3.9 Earthquake Strucks Jammu and Kashmir

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Tremors of earthquake measuring 3.9 magnitude were felt in Jammu & Kashmir on Tuesday morning.  

National Center for Seismology said that the earthquake jolted the region at 11:33 A.M. at a depth of 5 km. 

The National Center for Seismology reported the earthquake on their X handle “Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.9, Occurred on 2-01-2024, 11:33:32 IST, Lat: 32.76 &long:74.57, Depth: 5 km, Location: Jammu & Kashmir”

The earthquake struck Jammu just a day after Japan’s north-central region was struck by a massive earthquake of 7.5 magnitude resulting in tsunami warnings.
