BY A STAFF REPORTER: A very painful incident was reported from Morena district of Madhya Pradesh. Where 17 people drowned while crossing the Chambal river. Nine of them have been rescued. And 8 people drowned in the water. Divers recovered three bodies from the water after the incident. So far, four people are missing. Police and administrative officials rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident. Relief work is underway. Meanwhile, there has been a stir in the entire area since the incident. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed grief over the incident. The chief minister directed the chief minister's office and the district administration to expedite the rescue operations in the Chambal river. The district administration is at the spot with the necessary resources on the direction of the Chief Minister. SDRF teams along with local divers are searching for people who have been washed away in the river. The CMO of the Chief Minister's Office is monitoring the rescue and necessary assistance.
