Morigaon: Assam Congress President Bhupen Kumar Borah delivered a stern rebuke to the government for its handling of the ongoing flood crisis, lamenting the loss of over 90 lives and the suffering of 30 lakh people. "The government's response has been insufficient," Borah declared, highlighting the dire situation in the Jagiroad area, which falls under Water Minister Pijush Hazarika's jurisdiction.

Borah revealed that villagers in Jagiroad have endured floods for 15 days but received relief for only one day. "This negligence is unacceptable," he emphasized, pointing to a failure of duty on the part of the authorities.
