Kolkata, West Bengal: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has strongly condemned the incident at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, where a woman post-graduate trainee doctor was found dead. Pradhan raised concerns about the safety of students in West Bengal, highlighting a similar recent incident at Jadavpur University.

"The law and order situation in Bengal, especially the safety of students, is under question," Pradhan stated. He called for the Bengal government to take swift action against those responsible and emphasized that the government must be held accountable. "No matter how strongly we condemn the heinous crime that has happened, it will be less," Pradhan added, urging immediate steps to ensure student safety in the state.
