Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant paid homage to former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on his death anniversary, acknowledging his pivotal role in shaping modern Goa. Taking to social media, Sawant expressed his gratitude for Parrikar’s contributions to the state’s development.
"On behalf of the government and people of Goa, I would like to pay tribute to Manohar Parrikar on his death anniversary. He was known as the architect of modern Goa," Sawant said.
Parrikar, a BJP stalwart and former Defence Minister of India, was widely respected for his leadership and administrative acumen. During his tenure as Goa's Chief Minister, he played a key role in infrastructure development, governance reforms, and economic progress in the state. His efforts in education, healthcare, and tourism sectors continue to influence Goa’s growth trajectory.
