Dr Angelique Coetzee, the first physician who raised an alarm of a possible new variant- SARS-Cov-2 Omicron Variant of Covid-19 has treated over 600 people infected by Omicron. Dr Angeligue said that she believes that the symptoms of the new variant are unusual but mild. The symptoms range from intense fatigue, high pulse rate to dizziness. The new variant could still hit older people with comorbidities such as diabetes or heart disease – much harder.

With the upcoming festivities and still a considerable number of unvaccinated people, she suggests people in India to go for complete vaccination and booster doses especially if they are healthcare workers, suffering from immune compromised diseases, obesity, or are 50 years or more.
