Heritage Institute of Technology student secures an All India Rank 3 in GATE 2022

Kolkata (17/3): A student of Heritage Institute of Technology (HITK), Mr. Soumyajit Kundu from B.Tech- Chemical Engineering, Batch-2022, secured an All India Rank 3 in GATE 2022. This year around 9 lakh students have appeared for GATE examination and in Chemical Engineering more than 15000 students have appeared. The overall score of Soumyajit is 929.


It is also a matter of pride that student of autonomous Heritage Institute of Technology becomes the only private engineering college to be among the top 3 rank holders in GATE 2022 for chemical engineering. From B.Tech- Biotechnology, Batch-2022, Subhrojyoti Ghosh secured an All India Rank 13 followed by Debasmita Sarma Chaudhuri securing an All India Rank 20 which are very much promising indicating the mark of excellence sustained by HITK over the years. In Core engineering Mr. Tathagata Roy, B.Tech- Electrical Engineering, Batch-2022 secured an All India rank 136. More than 2 lakh students appeared for core engineering programmes this year in GATE 2022.

Soumyajit aspires to take up a job in the public sector whereas Subhrojyoti aspires to study integrated PhD programme in Biotechnology at IITs.
