New Delhi: Irish Minister James Lawless has reaffirmed Ireland’s deepening business and research partnership with India, citing growing collaborations in higher education, research, and innovation. Speaking about the strong ties between the two nations, he also referenced External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar’s recent visit to Ireland.

"Ireland is a very strong business partner with India. EAM Jaishankar visited Ireland two weeks ago. My area is higher education, research, and innovation. There are a lot of research projects happening between Irish and Indian companies," Lawless said.

His remarks underscore Ireland’s increasing engagement with India, particularly in science and technology collaborations. The two countries have been working closely on joint research initiatives, student exchange programs, and business investments across various sectors.

With India emerging as a key player in global innovation, Ireland sees significant potential for expanding academic and corporate partnerships. The minister’s comments come at a time when both nations are looking to enhance trade, investment, and educational ties.
