CISF Personnel at Kolkata Airport Return Lost $2,000 to Malaysian Couple

In a commendable act of honesty and efficiency, CISF personnel at Kolkata Airport successfully traced and returned $2,000 to a Malaysian couple who had unknowingly dropped the money in the check-in area.

Kolkata, Feb 25, 2025: A Malaysian couple traveling from Kolkata to Prayagraj on IndiGo flight 6E2309 had an unexpected moment of distress when they accidentally dropped $2,000 in the check-in area of Kolkata Airport. Fortunately, a vigilant passenger noticed the lost money and promptly handed it over to CISF Sub-Inspector Avinash, who was on duty at the time.

Upon receiving the cash, Shift Gazetted Officer Ritu Dahiya and Company Commander Bipin Kumar took immediate action. They instructed the Security Operations Control Center (SOCC) to track down the rightful owner. A meticulous search was conducted using CCTV footage, and after extensive efforts, the passenger was successfully located.

In a formal handover, the money was returned to the relieved couple by Bipin Kumar in the presence of Shift Gazetted Officer Ritu Dahiya. Overwhelmed with gratitude, the couple expressed their sincere appreciation to the CISF personnel for their prompt action and diligence in ensuring the safe return of their lost funds.
