Tiruchirappalli | The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday conducted searches at multiple locations in Tamil Nadu's Tiruchirappalli as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged financial irregularities involving a prominent real estate firm linked to a family member of a senior state minister.
The raids targeted properties connected to the TVH Group, a real estate company founded by KN Ravichandran, the brother of Tamil Nadu Minister for Municipal Administration KN Nehru. Officials from the federal agency confirmed that the searches are part of a broader probe involving financial transactions and possible violations of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
According to sources, several premises associated with the group, including offices and residences, were searched simultaneously in a coordinated effort to gather evidence. The ED suspects the involvement of unaccounted funds and financial dealings tied to large-scale real estate projects in the region.
The TVH Group, known for developing residential and commercial properties in Tamil Nadu, has previously come under scrutiny for its rapid growth and land acquisitions.
