By a Staff Reporter: Mahinda Rajapaksa resigned as prime minister on Monday amid public outcry over the ongoing financial crisis in Sri Lanka. 


Ranil Wickremesinghe has taken over as the new Prime Minister. However, Mahinda Rajapaksa is not leaving the protest behind.


 This time, the people of Sri Lanka started protesting in front of the newly appointed Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and President Gotabaya Rajapaksa's building demanding the arrest of Mahinda Rajapaksa. As a result, the tension is rising again.
