12 districts of Tamil Nadu are anticipated to see heavy rain till July 20

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In 12 districts of Tamil Nadu, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain advisory until Wednesday. In the upcoming 24 hours, the Met Office predicts that heavy rain will fall in 12 districts, including Nilgiris, Krishnagiri, Erode, Dharmapuri, Salem, Karur, Namakkal, Tiruppattur, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Theni, and Dindigul. 



The maximum rainfall in the state occurred on Monday in Naduvattam in the Nilgiris district with 8 cm. The second-highest amount of rain ever recorded in the state fell on Monday in Thirupavanam, Sivaganga, with 7 cm. In several areas of the state on Tuesday and Wednesday, the IMD added, there is a chance of light to moderate rain and thundershowers. Over Chennai and surrounding regions, cloudy skies are possible during the ensuing 24 hours.
