BY A STAFF REPORTER: At least 24 people have been killed and more than 100 displaced in floods and landslides triggered by heavy rains in coastal areas of southeastern Brazil. Rescuers are searching for the victims. The State Government of São Paulo confirmed that more than 600 millimeters of rain fell on the coast of Brazil's wealthiest state, killing 24 people and displacing 566. According to the weather forecast, heavy rains will continue in the coastal areas of São Paulo. The federal government has decided to bring together several ministries to assist the victims, restore infrastructure, and begin reconstruction work.
