New Delhi | Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday called for collective responsibility in keeping the city clean and preventing damage to government property. She highlighted metro pillars as a key part of Delhi’s urban landscape and urged citizens to avoid pasting posters and hoardings on them.

"Nobody has the right to damage government property. If we need a beautiful and clean Delhi, everyone's support is required here. No one should spoil government property. Metro pillars are the beauty of Delhi, and we should not paste posters and hoardings here," Gupta stated.

Her remarks come amid ongoing efforts by civic authorities to tackle defacement of public infrastructure. The Delhi government has been running awareness campaigns and taking action against unauthorized posters and graffiti that contribute to urban clutter.

The appeal reflects the administration’s broader focus on improving public spaces and reinforcing civic discipline, with stricter penalties likely to be enforced against violators.
