MUMBAI: The much-anticipated ‘Neta vs Abhineta’ cricket match, organized to promote the ‘TB-Mukt Bharat’ campaign, concluded in Mumbai with leaders and actors coming together to raise awareness about tuberculosis. Union Minister Anurag Thakur, who played for the Neta squad, acknowledged the team’s shortcomings in the game while emphasizing the larger goal of public health awareness.
"There were shortcomings; we gave away too many extra runs, and that proved decisive. But more importantly, TB-Mukt Bharat is a crucial mission. Alongside it, we must also work towards an Obesity-Mukt Bharat, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Thakur said post-match.
The match, which saw participation from political leaders and Bollywood actors, was widely viewed across the country, with millions tuning in to support the cause. The event aimed to reinforce the government’s commitment to eradicating TB by 2025, while also highlighting the importance of overall fitness and wellness.
