Jaipur, Rajasthan: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, while addressing a gathering in Jaipur, announced a major educational initiative by the government. "Under the leadership of PM Modi, the government has decided to start 100 new Sainik Schools across the country," Singh stated.
The new Sainik Schools will operate under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, a shift from the traditional system where such institutions were jointly established and run by the central and state governments. "The Sainik Schools used to be established and run by the joint practices of central and state governments. But these new schools will be established and run according to the PPP Model," Singh explained.
In his speech, Singh emphasized the growing importance of private sector involvement in national projects. "I have put the 'private' word first, as the private sector is playing a major role in the development of the country," he remarked, underlining the key role the private sector will play in running these new schools.
This initiative aims to boost the education and training of future leaders in the Indian Armed Forces while expanding access to quality education for students across the nation.
