New Delhi: In a landmark move, the Rajya Sabha has passed the Tribhuvan Cooperative University Bill, 2025, following its earlier approval in the Lok Sabha. The Bill aims to integrate cooperative education into the Indian education system, fostering innovation, employment, and skill development in the sector.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah took to social media to celebrate the occasion, stating, “Today is a historic day for the cooperative sector of the country. Under the visionary leadership of Modi ji, this Bill will ensure that cooperative education becomes an integral part of India’s curriculum.”
Shah emphasized that the establishment of the Tribhuvan Cooperative University will train youth across the nation, making the cooperative sector more comprehensive, well-organized, and modern-age friendly. He also congratulated all MPs involved in passing the legislation and extended gratitude to PM Narendra Modi for his leadership.
