State Investigative Agency Attaches Property of Absconding Narco Terrorist in Poonch

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant development, the State Investigative Agency (SIA) has attached the property of Mohd Liyaqat, a known narco-terrorist, who is currently absconding. The property, comprising 01 kanal and 9 Marlas of land, is located in Khari Karmara.

The action was taken under the provisions of FIR No. 69/2023 registered at P/S Poonch / SIA Jammu, U/S 83 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CRPC). The property attachment order was issued by the Principal Sessions Judge of Poonch.

The entire operation was executed by the SIA in the presence of Tehsildar Haveli, Azhar Majid. Speaking to the media, Azhar Majid Said The whole exercise was carried out on the directions of the honourable court."

The attachment of Liyaqat's property marks a notable step in the ongoing efforts to curb narco-terrorism in the region. Authorities continue to search for Liyaqat, and further investigations are underway to dismantle the networks supporting such activities.
