According to information made available to ANM News by officers of the local traffic guard, hap hazard movement of cars and parking in and around a school in the area led to the congestion.

``The school reopened and we could not anticipate such a mess. Our officers were there near the school but it was difficult to manage," a senior traffic police officer of South East traffic guard told ANM News. Locals complained that traffic stood bumper to bumper all over the northern flank of the flyover.
