TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO’S HEALTH MINISTER BLAMES OPPOSITION FOR VACCINE HESISTANCY

By a Staff Reporter: Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh said that the Opposition United National Congress must take responsibility for vaccine hesitancy in TT.
Minister Deyalsingh made his bold remarks in the Senate on Wednesday when he was asked by UNC Deputy Political Leader Senator Jearlean John if he is satisfied with the country’s vaccine uptake so far.
Giving some geographic details, Minister Deyalsingh said that vaccine hesitancy is more prevalent in the North Central and Central areas. Meanwhile in the areas of Couva/Tabaquite/Talparo persons are more willing to get vaccinated; keeping in mind that there are many factors that contribute to vaccine hesitancy.
