New Delhi: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) is holding a special session in Gujarat, described by party leaders as the "Tapobhumi" and the land of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel. Congress MP Randeep Singh Surjewala shared key highlights from the ongoing discussions, emphasizing the party’s commitment to addressing pressing national issues.

The session, attended by members of the Drafting Committee, focused on multiple themes, including the future direction of the country under the leadership of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi. Discussions covered ways to counter divisive politics, protect the Constitution, promote nationalism, and ensure that religious harmony prevails over communal tensions.

Additionally, pressing concerns of farmers, youth, tribals, backward classes, and Dalits were deliberated upon. Surjewala noted that several constructive suggestions had emerged, which the Drafting Committee is compiling. The final report will be submitted to the Congress Working Committee (CWC) on April 8, following which party general secretaries in charge of communication and organization will provide further updates.
