India still now far behind in terms of international football. But In terms of enthusiasm, India has outplaced the countries playing football. A record number of Indians have appeared in the Qatar World Cup.
According to statistics released by FIFA, 56, 893 Indian football fans have gone to Qatar to participate in the football carnival. The highest number of football fans went from Saudi Arabia, 77,106. The list includes the United States, Britain and Mexico.
