AIFF has appointed former international and technical committee member Eugeneson Lyngdoh, as the honorary project head of the Under-17 men's team. Secretary general Dr Shaji Prabhakaran said, "We believe that a coaching like Eugeneson will be useful for the staff."
Eugeneson Lyngdoh made his debut for India in 2015, earned 24 caps for national team. Lyngdoh was an important part of 2015 SAFF Cup and the 2017 tri-series team. He was instrumental in helping India qualify for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
