Few years back, when India had no medal hopes in Athletics, the Indian Army started Mission Olympic 2020. Many laughed. The Army identified potential kids, employed them, and gave then the best of diet, coach, infrastructure and incentives. Each medal got these kids promotion. Subedar Neeraj Chopra reached his current rank, after winning many medal at national and international level. Today, On 07th Aug 2021, Subedar Neeraj and the Indian Army fulfill our promise. Gold in athletics, first time by an Indian to the nation. Once again, as always, the Army delivers. Proud moment for every soldier.
