He urged the Centre to intervene through market intervention measures and requested the removal of the 25% procurement restriction imposed on chilli procurement. "They have some restrictions, 25% procurement. I asked them to remove that restriction... we want to protect the farmers in Andhra Pradesh," he added.
The Chief Minister’s visit highlights the growing concerns over agricultural distress in Andhra Pradesh, as farmers struggle with plummeting prices and financial instability. Naidu’s appeal to the Centre underscores the need for immediate relief measures to safeguard the livelihoods of chilli farmers in the state.
