Bhopal | Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday lauded his government’s efficient financial management, claiming that MP is the only state in India to have repaid all its debts while ensuring fiscal discipline across departments.
"Due to the efficient financial management of the MP government, all departments have cleared their old dues and are now working towards the new budget," Yadav stated. He revealed that ₹5,225 crore had been paid throughout the year to clear all pending dues of the Department of Industries.
Highlighting key financial achievements, he announced that the MP Energy Department has, for the first time, cleared 100% of its dues to all central coal companies in the new financial year. Additionally, the state's thermal powerhouses have reached their highest-ever coal storage of 11.73 lakh metric tonnes, with advance payments already made.
In a move aimed at benefiting government employees, Yadav also confirmed that the state budget includes provisions to raise salaries for officers and workers, amounting to an annual expenditure of ₹1,500 crore.
"This double-engine government is progressing under the good governance and guidance of the Central Government, the NITI Aayog’s direction, and by closely monitoring each and every department," Yadav added, emphasizing MP’s economic stability and administrative efficiency.
