New Delhi: Rekha Gupta has been appointed as the new Chief Minister of Delhi after being elected as the BJP’s legislative party leader. In her first statement after the appointment, she expressed deep gratitude to the party’s leadership and workers for their support.
"I thank my top leadership, PM Modi, party's national president JP Nadda, Virendra Sachdeva, observers Ravi Shankar ji and Dhankar ji, and all the party workers who blessed me, and all the MLAs who supported me. I thank everyone," Gupta said.
Her appointment marks a major shift in Delhi’s political scenario, with the BJP assuming power in the capital. Gupta’s leadership will now be under scrutiny as she takes charge of governance, with expectations high regarding her approach to development, administration, and public welfare.
