Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha convened a crucial law and order review meeting with senior police officers to assess the security situation in the state. He highlighted that Tripura remains one of the top states in terms of law and order across the country, but acknowledged specific challenges faced due to its geographical location.

"Tripura is a landlocked state that shares its border with Bangladesh, leading to certain drug-related issues," the CM remarked, addressing the growing concerns over cross-border drug trafficking. He emphasized the need for better coordination between the police, the Border Security Force (BSF), and other paramilitary forces in order to tackle these challenges effectively.

"There should be proper coordination between the police, BSF, and other paramilitary forces," he reiterated, noting the key role that enhanced communication and teamwork will play in securing the state.

The review meeting, which included discussions on tackling the drug menace and ensuring public safety, was regarded as a significant step towards improving law enforcement across the state. "This meeting will be very beneficial," Saha concluded, expressing confidence in the collective efforts to maintain peace and security in Tripura.
