Maharashtra: During his address at the Dussehra rally held at Shivaji Park in Mumbai, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray launched a sharp attack on Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the Adani Group, and the judiciary, voicing his concerns over governance and justice in Maharashtra.

Thackeray took aim at Amit Shah, remarking on the inconsistency in his statements. "Amit Shah came to Maharashtra and said that this time only Mahayuti (BJP alliance), but in 2019, he said something different," Thackeray remarked, implying shifting promises within the BJP.

He turned his attention to the controversial Dharavi redevelopment project, alleging that the government sold the area to industrialist Gautam Adani, creating problems for the residents of Dharavi. "They sold Dharavi to Adani, and the people of Dharavi are facing many problems," Thackeray said. He promised to take decisive action, stating, "I assure all of you that when we come to power, I will cancel this project of Adani in Dharavi."

Thackeray also criticized the Chief Justice of India (CJI) for not delivering timely decisions, hinting at the growing concerns regarding the judiciary’s role in critical matters. "If you want to make history, give the right decision. You are only speaking, not giving any decisions," he remarked, calling out the judiciary's lack of action. He warned that failure to act would lead people to lose faith in both democracy and the judiciary.

Thackeray's fiery speech highlighted the Shiv Sena (UBT)'s opposition to corporate influence and reinforced his commitment to fighting for the people, ahead of the upcoming elections.
