Mumbai: In a significant diplomatic and defense engagement, New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, along with Rear Admiral (RADM) Garin Golding, Chief of Navy, Royal New Zealand Navy (CN-RNZN), visited the Indian Navy’s newly built destroyer, INS Surat, at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai.
The visiting dignitaries received a comprehensive briefing on the warship’s state-of-the-art design, advanced technologies, and combat capabilities. The discussions highlighted INS Surat’s role in enhancing India's maritime security and its strategic importance in the Indian Ocean Region.
INS Surat, the latest addition to India's naval fleet, is an indigenously designed and built warship, showcasing the country’s growing self-reliance in defense manufacturing. Equipped with cutting-edge weaponry, surveillance systems, and high-end propulsion technology, the destroyer is a key asset in strengthening India's naval power.
