Ghosh elected President, Das secures highest votes

After a tumultuous election, Abhijit Ghosh was elected as the President of the century old historic Calcutta Club. The voting went on well into the evening and the counting completed around midnight.

 Anusua Das secured 1395, the highest number of votes among those who stood in the elections for the committee. Eleven persons were elected as committee members.
