President of Calcutta Club suspended

The century-old, historic Calcutta Club, in an unprecedented incident, suspended President Pramit Ray for an year.  The resolution was adopted by the committee of management after probing several charges against President Pramit Ray and Dr Pradeep Nemani, chairman, administration.

According to documents available with ANM News, committee members in the meeting on May 26, ``upon due deliberations unanimously resolved that President Pramit Ray is suspended for one year.'' The committee of management could not proceed against Dr Pradeep Nemani as ``he has moved Court against his fellow committee members.''
