The General Manager of South Eastern Railway, Archana Joshi and Member Signalling, Railway Board, have been transferred.
According to senior officials of the Railway ministry, the transfers are a fall out of the train tragedy in Balasore. Three trains collided leading to loss of hundreds of lives and injuries to about 1000 people last month.
Initial probe indicted that the fault lied with the signal personnel at the Bahanaga Bazar Railway station in Balasore. Earlier railway ministry had transferred several senior officers under whose jurisdiction the accident took place.
