BY A STAFF REPORTER: As the Ram Temple Consecration ceremony begins today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday marked Lord Ram as the epitome of Governance.

While addressing a presser during the inaugural ceremony of the National Academy of Customs and Indirect Taxes and Narcotics Institute (NACIN) in Andhra Pradesh today, Narendra Modi praised lord Ram for his good governance, quoting Mahatma Gandhi as saying that the thought of 'Ram Rajya' is the thought of true governance. Earlier today, Narendra Modi visited the Veerbhadr temple in Lepakshi district of Andhra Pradesh; A site that is relevant in the historical epic of Ramayana. 

The consecration procedures of the Ram Temple began on Tuesday, January 16, and will last seven days. Over 7,000 dignitaries are expected to attend the grand Pran-Pratishtha event on January 22nd in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
