AUDIT BEGINS INTO TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO’S FIREARMS BUREAU

Giving an update on the audit into the Trinidad and Tobago’s Firearms Bureau, National Security Minister Fitzgerald Hinds held a press conference on Tuesday to further explain the details of the audit which is expected to be completed in 3 months time.
According to Minister Hinds, 6 persons will be identified to carry out the audit and the public will be made aware to ensure everyone has a clean idea.
Deputy Commissioner of Police McDonald Jacob has made it clear in the past that an audit of the firearms bereau is nothing new and is done annually.
On Tuesday, DCP Jacob said 3 retirees from the TTPS have been engaged to assist and support in the carrying out of this audit.
