Maa Durga is also going abroad with her children. Durga Puja is celebrated in India and Bangladesh as well as in the United States. Although Kolkata's Durga Puja is the hub of this festival, Durga Puja in the United States is equally famous. Durga Puja in the US will turn 52. There is a large community of Indians there. Every year during the puja, they organize festivals together. Durga Puja is now being celebrated in 50 states of the UNITED States. In the United States, the festival lasts for four to five days. However, durga puja is not celebrated here. In the early 1970s, puja was first started in this country.
