BY A STAFF REPORTER: Severe cold is sweeping across the country. In most states, the minimum temperature is dropping to a record level. This is what the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. Dense to very dense fog was seen in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
A warning has been issued for cold winds and minimum temperatures. The IMD has issued a red alert saying that there is a possibility of serious conditions in the future. Meanwhile, 25 people have died in Kanpur due to severe cold.
