New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid heartfelt tributes to Shree Shree Harichand Thakur on his Jayanti, recognizing his contributions to social upliftment and equality. In a post on X, PM Modi lauded Thakur’s lifelong efforts to serve marginalized communities and promote justice, compassion, and spiritual values.

“Tributes to Shree Shree Harichand Thakur on his Jayanti. He lives on in the hearts of countless people thanks to his emphasis on service and spirituality. He devoted his life to uplifting the marginalized and promoting equality, compassion, and justice,” the Prime Minister wrote.

PM Modi also recalled his visits to Thakurnagar in West Bengal and Orakandi in Bangladesh, both deeply significant places for the Matua community. He reiterated his government’s commitment to the welfare of the Matua community and assured continued efforts for their development.

Extending his best wishes for the Matua Dharma Maha Mela 2025, he said the event would showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Matua community. “Our government has undertaken many initiatives for the Matua community’s welfare, and we will keep working tirelessly for their well-being in the times to come,” he affirmed, concluding his message with “Joy Haribol!”
