Kyiv says it will use seized Russian assets to rebuild country and compensate Ukrainians

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Ukraine plans to use more than $460 million in assets seized from Russian banks to rebuild the country and compensate Ukrainians, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal told a conference. The government is working with allies to develop a system based on an international agreement, which will help ukrainians decide how to compensate. This arrangement will include an international registration of damages from war, a commission to consider applications for compensation, and a fund from which compensation will be paid. '
