The NDA government is determined not to interfere and allow Lakshadweep police pursue the sedition charges slapped against film maker Aisha Sultana. The little known Sultana became an overnight internet celebrity finding major support in Pakistan, when she commented that Indian government has used bioweapon on people of Lakshadweep. She made this comment on a Malayalam channel after which Lakshadweep police swung into action. BJP is a house divided in Lakshadweep with a section of party resigning in protest while another section registering complaint against Sultana.
