Massive chaos in Moyna over killing of BJP leader

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The murder of a BJP leader in Moyna has created a ruckus across the state.  BJP has called a 12-hour bandh on Wednesday to protest the incident. East Medinipur's Moyna has been in turmoil since this morning over the BJP's bandh. Meanwhile, there was also an altercation between the police and the protesters. Police have already arrested one BJP leader. There have even been allegations of forced closure of shops to make the bandh a success. On the other hand, BJP workers and supporters blocked Annapurna Bazar in Moyna and burnt tyres. On Monday evening, BJP booth president Vijaykrishna Bhuiyan was allegedly beaten up in front of his wife and taken away on a motorbike by some miscreants. The BJP later claimed that Vijaykrishna Bhuiyan was later killed. The BJP party has blamed the TMC for the incident.
