New Delhi | BJD MP Sasmit Patra has commented on the Centre’s decision to notify the transfer of Justice Yashwant Varma from the Delhi High Court to the Allahabad High Court, stating that the process is being carried out as per legal norms.
“The due process is being followed. The Supreme Court is doing its bit, the government is doing its bit. I believe the inquiry will find out what’s the real reason, and I believe that separation of powers, whether it’s the executive or the judiciary doing their bit, is good,” Patra said.
On another matter, he also reacted to the controversy surrounding SP MP Ramji Lal Suman’s remarks on Rana Sanga, a revered Rajput ruler.
“Rana Sanga is the pride of India... We should not make any statements that would bring disrepute to any national hero. At the same time, I would also say that we should not take violence into our own hands. Such statements on Rana Sanga are extremely unacceptable and should be avoided,” he added.
