Kolkata, West Bengal: A tragic firecracker factory explosion in South 24 Parganas has claimed the lives of eight people, reigniting political tensions in West Bengal. BJP leader Locket Chatterjee has strongly criticized the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC), alleging its connection to such incidents.
"Bomb blast and TMC are leaves of the same tree. They have the same character because it's a tradition of the TMC. You saw this in Birbhum also a few days ago," Chatterjee said, drawing parallels with other violent incidents in the state.
She further alleged that the TMC government had ignored criminal activities linked to the factory, stating, "They are calling it an unfortunate incident, but last year, they made an arrest from the same house for a criminal offence... The whole of West Bengal rests on explosives right now."
