Encounter Between Maharashtra Police and Maoists in Gadchiroli Forest

Gadchiroli, Maharashtra: A confrontation ensued between the C-60 Maharashtra Police Party and Maoists in the dense forest area between Chhindbhatti and PV 82, under Police Station Jharwandi of District Gadchiroli. The encounter, occurring between 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm, resulted in Sub Inspector Satish Patil sustaining a gunshot wound to his left shoulder.

Prompt medical response was initiated as a helicopter departed from Thana Band in District Kanker at 16:07 to transport Sub Inspector Satish Patil to Gadchiroli for urgent medical attention. Search operations are actively ongoing in the area.
